CTC South West provides Health and Safety Consultancy Services to a wide range of clients throughout the South West. We take a practical approach to Health and Safety, so we always keep in mind that you have a job to do and ensure that you can work efficiently and safely. Our Health and Safety Consultancy Services are provided by qualified individuals who will deal with you face-to-face or over the phone. We believe that Health and Safety needs to be personal.
Our services include Health and Safety reviews and audits, writing your Health and Safety Policy, making you aware of your legal and moral obligations to your staff (and their duties to you) formulating a plan for Health and Safety Training (Training Needs Analysis), and much more.

Health and Safety Training
We provide a range of Health and Safety Training Courses suitable for shop-floor staff, supervisors, managers and directors. All our Health and Safety Courses are delivered by qualified trainers using nationally recognised awarding-bodies where possible (CIEH, ConstructionSkills, City and Guilds, Edexcel to name a few) so you get recognised qualifications for your workforce. Our Health and Safety Trainers are experienced in various levels of training throughout the management structures, and who are active in Health and Safety consultancy.
We will always try to tailor our Health and Safety Training to your specific company structure and work environment. From an agency office, to a heavy steel workshop, our Health and safety training will always be suited to your needs.

NVQs and Qualifications
CTC South West offers nationally recognised qualifications in Assessment, Health and Safety and Construction.
All our qualifications are offered via the NVQ route, meaning that the qualification is delivered on site, and takes a minimal amount of down-time for staff to complete. Our experienced Health and Safety Assessors will help you to gather the required evidence for the qualification.
Our assessors will deliver the qualification on a one-to-one basis and provide ongoing guidance as to the suitability of the qualification and opportunities to gather the required evidence.
If you are interested in becoming an assessor, CTC South West also provides the TAQA awards in assessing through City and Guilds. If you would like to move into a new area of work where you can still make use of your knowledge and experience, then this could be an ideal opportunity.

SSIP (CHAS / ConstructionLine / SMAS etc.) Applications
Safety Schemes in Procurement is a national Health and Safety Scheme which aims to reduce the amount of work involved with the Health and Safety vetting of contractors (mainly in construction). By joining one of the SSIP schemes, you can instantly show to any clients and contractors that your Health and Safety Provision is up to this national standard.
SSIP includes schemes that you may have previously heard of such as CHAS, ConstructionLine and SMAS - all have stringent Health and Safety Standards that must be met in order to achieve compliance.

Health and Safety File
Health and Safety File is a suite of documents and templates that aim to reduce the burden of carrying out suitable and sufficient risk assessments for the tasks that you and your staff carry out.
Health and Safety File consists of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and COSHH assessments which can be used and adapted to create a job pack that contains all the required information for the job. The burden of paperwork is reduced by ensuring that the staff carrying out the work are trained and competent, and that the significant risks are focused on.

CSCS Cards
CSCS is the competence and Health ad Safety Card for the Construction Industry. We have been dealing the the CSCS scheme for over 5 years now, and have assisted many construction operatives and tradesmen gain a suitable CSCS card.
Our all-inclusive service ensures that you get the right CSCS card quickly and effectively, without have to go back-and-forth to CSCS when a problem is found on your applications.
