The [Proprietor / Directors] of [My Company] Will;

  1. Accept full responsibility for the Health, Safety and Welfare of all employees, and will fulfil all legal duties imposed upon them by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and relevant legislation.
  2. Read the Company’s Health and Safety policy and understand the commitment made by the Company.
  3. Ensure that Health and Safety aspects and implications are given due consideration in all decisions.
  4. Ensure adequate resources are made available to the workforce to enable them to comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and relevant Health and Safety Legislation.
  5. Ensure effective implementation and communication of the Company’s Health and Safety Policy
  6. Ensure suitable communication on Health and Safety matters is encouraged and maintained.
  7. Ensure that designers (including principal designers) or contractors (including principal contractors) and sub-contractors appointed to work on the project must have the skills, knowledge, and experience and, if they are an organisation, the organisational capability, necessary to fulfil the role that they are appointed to undertake, in a manner that secures the health and safety of any person affected by the project.
  8. Ensure that suitable risk assessments are carried out and are available.
  9. Ensure that all accidents, incidents and/or near misses are investigated, reported and suitable remedial actions are imposed to diminish the risk of recurrence.
  10. Ensure the development, and Management; of Health and Safety strategies to ensure the aims and objectives of the Health and Safety Policy are met.
  11. Ensure the Health and Safety Policy is periodically reviewed to ensure; compliance with current legislation and meets the needs of the company.
