Organisation (People and their Duties)
Overall and final responsibility for health and safety within the Company is that of; The [Proprietor / Directors] of the Company; The person responsible for health and safety issues is; The following nominated persons are responsible for Safety in particular areas;
The [Proprietor / Directors] and Management keep an ‘open door policy’ within the company, to allow formal and informal communication throughout the hierarchy of management. Each team includes a nominated Supervisor, responsible for the day-to-day Health and Safety of their individual team. Any Health and Safety issues relating to either company or individual site restrictions will be communicated throughout the company, by telephone for immediate action, or discussed on regular (minimum weekly) meetings. Whilst working as sub-contractors on sites controlled by others, Site Managers/Supervisors and employees must ensure; We use CTC South West Ltd (01209 823 920) for gaining help and advice with Health & safety matters where required. The post of Health and Safety advisor is fulfilled by request only and is not a regular attendee at company meetings. The enforcing body for health and safety in our industry is the Health and Safety Executive / Local Authority.
