All amendments to the method statement for electrical works must be documented and authorised prior to implementation. Any changes to the scope of work, procedures, or personnel must be communicated to the project manager and health and safety advisor immediately. Authorisation Process:

Only authorised personnel with appropriate training and permits shall access live electrical risers. Access doors must remain closed when not in use to prevent unauthorised entry.
When accessing areas for wall or floor chasing, ensure that all pathways are free from obstructions and debris. Temporary barriers should be erected to delineate work zones and prevent unauthorised access.
Access to elevated work areas for the installation of containment trays and conduits shall be facilitated by secure scaffolding or mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs). All equipment must be inspected prior to use.
For underfloor power installations, ensure that floor panels are securely lifted and replaced. Access points must be clearly marked, and caution signs displayed. For above-floor installations, ladders or step stools must be used in accordance with safety guidelines.
Access to external areas for the installation of electric vehicle charging points must be coordinated with site management to ensure safe entry and exit, particularly in areas with vehicular traffic.
During cable installation and second fix activities, ensure that all access routes are kept clear of trailing cables and other trip hazards. Cables should be managed using cable trays or similar containment methods.
