Any team member identifying a need for change in the plumbing process must report it immediately to the site supervisor.
The proposed amendment must be documented in writing, detailing the specific changes required and the reasons for such changes.
The project manager, in consultation with the health and safety advisor, will review the proposed amendment. A risk assessment will be conducted to evaluate any new hazards introduced by the change.
Upon satisfactory review, the project manager will authorise the amendment. This authorisation must be recorded in the project documentation.
All personnel involved in the plumbing works must be informed of the authorised changes. A toolbox talk will be conducted to ensure understanding and compliance.
The authorised changes will be implemented as per the revised method statement. Continuous monitoring will be conducted to ensure adherence to the updated procedures.
No changes to plumbing activities are to be executed without prior authorisation. Unauthorised amendments may lead to disciplinary action and potential safety hazards.Activities

Waste Disposal and Site Tidiness
- Identify and segregate waste materials into appropriate categories, such as recyclable, non-recyclable, and hazardous waste, using clearly labelled containers.
- Ensure all operatives are familiar with the site waste management plan and understand the designated waste disposal areas.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety boots when handling waste materials to prevent injury.
- Regularly collect and remove waste from the work area to prevent accumulation and maintain a tidy site.
- Transport waste to the designated disposal areas using suitable equipment, such as wheelbarrows or trolleys, to minimise manual handling risks.
- Dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with relevant regulations, ensuring it is placed in designated containers and not mixed with other waste types.
- Clean up any spills or debris immediately to prevent slips, trips, and falls, using appropriate cleaning materials and methods.
- Conduct a final inspection of the work area at the end of each shift to ensure all waste has been removed and the site is left in a tidy condition.
- Report any issues with waste disposal or site tidiness to the site supervisor promptly for resolution.
- Review and update waste disposal procedures regularly to ensure compliance with current legislation and best practises.
